I got my tub of Syntha-6 from my 75 year old grandma at Christmas time last year. Hey, I knew she had no clue what she was doing, but it’s the thought that counts. So, I kept it at my parents house to use it whenever I went back home. It took me 6 months to open it and use it. Now, it stays in my car in case I hit the gym and don’t head home after.
To start off with, Syntha-6 has 22g of protein per scoop coming from Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Calcium Caseinate, Micellar Casein, Milk Protein Isolate, Egg Albumen and Glutamine Peptides. The different sources of protein mean that your body will break the protein down at a different time rate. Other than protein it also contains 10g of essential amino acids, naturally occurring BCAAs, and 6g of fiber.
For some reason or another, I always end up with cookies and cream protein powder. Since I already use Muscle Pharm’s Combat protein powder in the same flavor it makes it easier to review BSN’s Syntha-6 because I have something to compare it to. In my opinion, the Syntha-6 tastes better than my Combat Powder. It has a creamy milkshake taste when I pair it with almond milk. It is suggested to take it with 4-5 fl. oz., but I like to take it with 8-12 fl. oz. and just add half a scoop of protein to it.
The flavors have slightly different nutritional facts. So make sure and double check before buying.
