I’ve been using Combat Protein by MusclePharm for a couple of years now as my go-to protein powder. The main reason that I have been using it for so long is because its versatility. It has 5 different protein types in it, so I can take it any time of the day and reap the full benefit. It also helps that “Cookies ‘N’ Cream” tastes amazing.

Performance:

I’d like to start off with reminding everyone that protein powder is a dietary supplement, and it is meant to do just that. If you would like to see the full benefit of these supplements a healthy diet and regular exercise is a must. With that out of the way, Combat Protein has multiple performance benefits. The most notable is the sources of protein it contains. It has whey protein hydrolysate, whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, egg albumin, and micellar casein. The protein from each of these is digested with a different time rate, respectively, fast digest to slowly digest. On top of the 25g of protein, Combat also contains base chain amino acids and glutamine. These help with the reduction of the catabolic cause by heavy training.

Taste:

Honestly, the only thing special about the way Combat taste is that it is decent tasting. Its not the best, but it is not horrible and it is something that I don’t mind drinking everyday. Like I said before, I have Cookies ‘N’ Cream and when I mix it with almond milk it tastes delicious. I like to use almond milk because it has less fat, carbs, and calories as regular milk.
