I have a very special review for everyone! This is my friend, Ross Bennett’s pre-workout Breaking Point. He is a pre-law student in Australia, and he also is the owner of BAMF nutrition. How he does both of these is beyond me, but he is killing it, so I’m very excited to share a review of his product!
First things first..how is the taste? Upon my request Ross sent me a tub of the sour gummy bear flavor, because I love anything gummy bear, and the flavor is great. It’s sweet and it’s sour which is how I would expect a sour gummy bear flavored pre-workout should taste. I also have let a couple of my roommates try it and they love the flavor as well. Breaking Point also comes in a rainbow candy flavor, which does peak my interest. If you give it a try shoot me an email and let me know what you think.
Like the name and the label of Breaking Point suggest, it is an extremely potent pre-workout. Boasting 30mg of niacin, 3000mg of beta-alanine, 1000mg of L-arginine, 1000mg of taurine, and 300mg of caffeine, one look at the nutrition label and your body should already feel the pump. You may be asking yourself “Those are some impressive numbers, but what do they mean for me and my workout?”. Well to answer your question, beta-alanine and L-arginine release NO2 into the blood which widens the blood vessels. This mean your muscles are getting more oxygen throughout your workout. Niacin, or vitamin B3, like all B vitamins helps our body turn carbohydrates into glucose, which our body then turns into energy. Taurine is an amino acid, and studies have shown that it increases physical performances by stimulating the muscles. It also works as an antioxidant within the body. I do have an article that goes more into depth on some of the ingredients that I will link here-> http://prodirectsupplements.com/what-is-the-best-pre-workout-ingredient-break-down/ . One last ingredient that should be mentioned about this product is the 50mg of (2-amino-5-methylhexane). This is called DMHA and it is a substitute to DMAA. It is said to have 80% of the effects of DMAA, which is an extremely powerful stimulant.
